"The wickedest word game in the world."

"One Up! is Scrabble on steroids, with a thieving twist."

Do you have an "agile, carnivorous attitude?"

One Up! is classic, real-world fun that's not only unfair, frustrating, and monstrously cutthroat, it's guaranteed to wreck any family holiday, game night, or an unloved in-law's ego.

Seriously, One Up! comes in a handy travel tin that's perfectly portable magic and makes a fantastic gift.

Don't stay (or leave) home without it.

How to play.

One Up! takes a nimble mind, as everyone tries to be the first person to make a word from the tiles that are face-down in the center. Take turns flipping one tile over at a time: first an "A", then an "R" and then a "T". Shout it out, and don't be shy–"ART!"

Keep turning over tiles one at a time until another word of three or more letters can be made.

Where our hero, Johnny Mustard, takes you on a quick tour:

Stealing is the name of the game.

But wait a sec! The game has a cool, cutthroat twist: any player's words can be stolen by anyone else by simply adding a letter. If an "M" is turned over, and since you already have the word "ART", I can call out "MART" and take it from you. It's my word now, so pound sand. But anyone can snatch it back if an "S" is flipped over and they yell out "SMART." Damn!

All words are in play at all times. The player with the most words at the end wins.

What One Up! comes with:

• 101 custom-made solid wood letter tiles.

• The wild "uppity" tile that can be used as any letter.

• Concise and easy-to-read instruction sheet.

• Classy and perfectly-portable metal travel tin.

• One million words and worlds of fun in your pocket.

*Continental U.S. only.

Wicked, wicked fun for everybody

OneUp! is Scrabble on steroids, with a thieving twist.

When I found OneUp!, I though it would be a hit with my family of die-hard Scrabble lovers. I'd been on the hunt for something similar to Scrabble, but with a new twist. OneUp quickly became the new family favorite and no one wanted to quit playing. Between watching your own words, the center, your opponents words, constantly brainstorming possibilities, and remembering what letter(s) you're waiting for, your brain will be lit up like fireworks on the 4th of July. It is ALOT of fun and the thieving twist is the icing on the cake and one of our favorite parts of the game :). Kudos for the use of minimal, reusable, recyclable packaging and natural tiles. The only reason I gave 4/5 starts is the inconsistency in the thickness and printing of the tiles. The size, shape, and thickness varies just enough to make it somewhat difficult to quickly distinguish letters. Most word game lovers appreciate the tactile aspects of game components (and are a little OCD too). Overall, we love OneUp and will buy again.

Misprinted "A"

I received the One Up game last week and we love it.

But one of the “A” tiles had a misprint on the back such that you could tell it was an A. I would appreciate it if you could send a replacement “A” tile.

It’s not the end of the world but we would love to have a complete game.
